Furbabies are growing

Timmy and Toby are not always that happy about their new siblings. But the babies love them. Sophie paired with Timmy and Eli paired with Toby. It is pretty darn cute.
Sophie chewing on her doggie bone. She watched Toby and Timmy and monkey see monkey do. haha

Got it Done

This batch of apple butter was 14 pints. I was very pleased with it. However, the next batch, I will make not quite as sweet. Although Mr. Mark LOVES it sweet. He ate a pint the first morning! Out of the jar! hahaha I also canned 4 pints of tomato juice. Thought there would be more, but that is what I got. Pleased with even that much. I am planning on making apple jelly next. Working my way down the list. Jars are on sale now with it being end of season. Now is the time to get them. Speaking of jelly. Have you heard that peanut butter is going sky high this winter? All the devastation in the southern states this year. We are going to try to stock up this week. Mr. Mark takes a lot of pb/j sandwiches in his lunchbox. Either for a snack or breakfast or lunch.
This is a more girly monkey love hat.
Just two more of my hats. Screaming pink (and dark chocolate brown) huh?
Mark, Shayla and Toby at Mark's birthday party. Doesn't Shayla look festive. Our mom got the little girl's these flower leis to play with. Shayla LOVED hers! Said they made her feel fancy. It was so sweet. Except she took me to stop doing the hula dance. It was creepy!! That was hilarious. Me doing it and her saying that! Love that girl.
This week seems to be going fast. Hope everyone is getting to do something they love. Feed your passion my friends. Life is too short to not do something you enjoy!

A bit of decorating around my house

The candy basket is ready for the family tomorrow. Peggy gave me the chickie years ago (it is a pincushion) and Lizzie sent me the precious card. Both girls made these goodies. So talented!
My girls are guarding the eggies. Shhhhh don't tell them they are wooden. The chick figurine is a giftie from Penny. It represent her, me and Debbie.
One of my punchneedle designs. I love this old crocheted pansy doily. The crockery bowl holds ceramic cookie stamps.
Toby wishes you a Blessed Easter!
We will be having our family party tomorrow. It is a combo for Easter AND Debbie Jo's birthday which was Monday. The menu is awesome if I do say so! Turkey breast, cheesie potatoes, rolls, cottage cheese, carrots, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, baked beans and broccoli. Apple salad and pumpkin pies with whipped topping for desert. I am really looking forward to our family time.
I am so blessed.~Angela

Jesus Appearing To Doubting Thomas in John 20:24-29.

(24) Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. (25) So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.” (26) Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”(27) Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.”(28) Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”(29) Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.

Thursday crazies

Here is a pic of my room. Everything is stacked and ready to be packed into our vehicle. Penny and I will be vendoring this weekend at the Fiber Event at Greencastle, Indiana. It is the largest fiber show in the state. Debbie is riding shotgun. So it will be a great sister weekend.

Here are four of my lil' mousie pincushions. I wanted to get more made, but glad for these being done! They turned out cute. A tad fiddly, but fun. The mousie is wool, the tomato is lightly stained cotton polkydots. I know some of you love you some red polkydots. The tails are black wire.
And since I haven't posted pics of my boys lately. Here is Timmy sleeping (but mommy disturbed him) with his puppy. So cute. He loves it.
And this is our good boy. Toby is such the best doggie. Except when we eat pizza. He goes nuts! He recognizes the word even. Whimpers and acts out a sight, even barks! And Toby does NOT bark. Ever. Unless he reallllllllly has to go make a potty and we need to go quickquick (as Jaidy says). So yes, we have decided his freakishly long legs comes from a long lost relative who was an Italian greyhound. :o)
No pic for this, but praise the Lord the roofing is over. Our house and detached garage both had to be replaced due to hail and wind damage. They are cleaning up outside even as I type. So yayaya for that. And a thank God for Farm Bureau Insurance. They came through for us!
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I hope to take some good photos to share with you next week from the show. ~Angela

Just laying around, taking things easy.

Yep. That is how we roll at my house. Total slackards.
Here is the "skinny" on my doctor's appointment and what is going on with my brain tumor surgery. The doctor said my lungs were not in a good place for this magnitude of surgery. (I still have the pleurisy.) I would have to stay on a vent after the surgery, which would NOT be a good thing. So, I go have another MRI, more in depth, in September and see him the next week. We will go from there. BUT I have told them I have a quilt retreat I am hosting in early November. A girl has priorities you know. I honestly thought this would be over and I would be on the healing  process side of things now. I am trying to be good and rest more and stress less. The last is not happening too well. Life you know has a way of rearing it's ugly head. The doctor also dropped some news on me I did not know. He thought probably someone else had told me. I have arterial nerve damage to one of the 3 main brain nerves. Said it was old damage. And then there is the pill I am now taking once a week to try to reduce the swelling of brain capillaries. Forty dollars, yes $40 for one pill after insurance. Whatever.
So stop on by and we will take a break with Timmy and Toby and bask in the sunshine and talk about future plans and what we are wanting to create. And maybe I will share my chocolate stash with you. :o)

Monday photos to make us smile

My mini daffodils at the door. They are the first bright lights of spring for me.
If you play hard, then you gotta take alot of rests. These two are hilarious together when they are not horrible together. :o) Timmy truly thinks he is a puppy. He is sitting up and begging for his good boy treats now. Besides chewing on rawhide bonies with Toby.
Toby believes in "the family bed". He snuggled in like this himself. Not a photo op shot.
Sweet Jaidyn (our greatniece) hiding. If she cannot see us...then we cannot see her. She is a funny lil' two year old. And as the shirts says, a cutie!
Happy thoughts and prayers are appreciated. I start a 4 week round (hopefully) of treatments tomorrow. Get'r done is the motto of the week!
Happy spring to you. It is cold and rainy here in Indiana. But that can change on a dime as the saying goes. It is the midwest you know. :o)

Just taking it easy

Laying around on unmade beds. Yep that is how we are rollin' these days. sigh More rain and gloom on the forecast through Sunday. I need sunshine. This keeping the blinds/drapes closed and pretending it is nite nite time ALL the time has got to be unhealthy for my addled brain. Maybe that is why we are taking all these rests? That is my story. And if you see Mr. Sun....would ya please ask him to come visit Indiana. We miss him. Alot.

Who's been sleeping in my bed?

I don't think so boys! And yes. That is MY Pooh pillow.

Working on hankies for my dear aunts (each over 80). The pink and green are finished. The blue is in the works still. I love the thread holder daddy made me. It is perfect for my cotton threads. This is a small spool of Lisbeth 20. But it is great for the larger balls of bedspread cotton too. No more chasing about and fighting the pets for them. He used scrap wood, the base is walnut and the spindle is poplar.

These were good in theory. But making more will not be happening. Working the clay KILLED my poor arthritic hands. I molded the sheepies onto size 10 wooden needles. Baked them at 235 degrees for 30 minutes. Tiny glass seed beads for eyes. Fun to make and I have plenty more clay, they take such a small amount. But ohhhh my poor hands. Wonder who will get this pair?? :o) Perhaps a December birthday girl? We will have to see.

My silly fur babies

Toby and Timmy sharing bonies! Timmy is growing up very confused I am thinking~! He is always munching away on Toby's multitude of bonie pieces.

This is my version of kitty jail/time out. When he simply will not leave poor Lydia alone. Into the clothes basket he goes! Lydia tries to jump on top of it, but bless her heart, she is not doing well. I know she just wants to make sure he cannot get out. I am constantly telling him "You better be good. Jesus is watching you." He is simply a lil' stinker!
As to Nutella, it is a hazelnut and cocoa mixture. And delish. You must, you must, try it ASAP. I got several comments about it.

Loving these cooler temps. I have been praying for those in California battling the fires. I cannot imagine that fear. God bless those firefighters and those in the line of danger. Including all the animals and their habitats.

Toby's 1st anniversary pressie

Meet Timothy...Timmy. Right now, Baby Timmy. He is an itty bitty kitty. The tiniest of the litter and very loving. This is his first picture (Well on my camera. Big sister Heather took one on her cell.) Unfortunately, this was NOT an action photo. LOL The way I potty train, is I basically will not let them out of the litter box until something happens. This lil one thought we were throwing him a beach party however! Frolicing in the "sand" was big fun for him. Toby was much happier to see the Timmy, than Timmy was to see Toby. For something so tiny, lots of spit and spat. They are going through an adjustment period. Timmy is staying on THIS side of the pet gate and Toby is just gonna have to whine about it. Then there is Miss Lydia. She is soooo not impressed with Toby or his pressie. I keep telling her she is my baby girl and they are just boys. But she isn't too impressed with me either. The Persian Princess will be 16 in October. She is hissing at anything that moves right now. Hopefully everyone will settle down soon.

And did I tell you I have had hives? Like everywhere! Sheesh.

Eggie Hunts rock!

My sister Debbie (Meme) and Baby Jaidyn. The bebe's first Eggie Hunt!

I honestly do not know WHAT was happening with Baby Shayla's hair here in her face! Love that killer smile of her's. There was so much loot for her to find, I had to upgrade her from a basket to my new yarn bag. We divided the yard up and placed the goodies on each side for the girls. Ivan rehid half Shayla's eggs for her once. Some so hard I couldn't find them!

Both girls got cutie bugs. They were laying in the bushes.

This baby is the cutest. Love those leggings on her too! Twirly dresses are the best.

And this says it all. Except Baby Jaidyn was the only one asleep! LOL Toby (Who has on his soft muzzle to keep him calm and not jumping all over the kidlets. It is so loose, comes off without unsnapping it. It is just hanging on him basically by his ears.) and lil Shayla were playing opossum for a photo. :o) Being Aunt Angie is the best thing. Love'em, spoil'em, tucker them out and send then on their merry way. Is this grammy training??
