A lil' something quilty.
This is the runner I started at Retreat. The blocks are paper pieced. I wanted to make it different, but couldn't figure out what I had in my head. LOL But it is finished. I machined quilted it. Measures out 25 x 9 1/2-inches. Could be a wall hanging also.

Then I worked up this lil crazy quilt doll blanket. I thought it would be sweet for the Bleuette dolls. It measures 10 x 12. The embroidery doesn't show up too good in the pic. I added the word Love and a metal heart charm. Nothing fancy in my stitches, but I enjoy doing the handwork. And can do it with my feet up resting. Both pieces were mostly done using Civil War Reproductions, Kansas Troubles and a bit of Thimbleberries. All from my scrap stash except the backings and sashings.

I am still here. Just not having a good week healthwise. Have been putzing about though, trying to work on little things. I love to embroidery. It is just basic/primitive style to most people. But it makes me happy. I made up 4 little take-a-long needlebooks with pockets. Just a simple project. They are 4 x 8-inches opened up. With a 3 x 6-inch insert of red wool for needles. I thought the pockets were deep enough to hold a small pair of snips, thread and thimble. I used a thin pellon under the crazy foundation to give it some body and a bit of poof. I got the idea when I was copying Michelle's tea cozies. These are just bigger.
A friend ran in the Relay for Life last night in my honor. How sweet was that? :o)

Nature's bounty. You gotta love it!

Kate had tagged me for the Front Door/Back Door Meme. The Meme simply asks for photos taken of the view out your front and back doors. Well both at my house are pretty boring. But, if you turn the corner at my backdoor you get my backYARD. Which is very pretty and a happy place to be right now. So I am taking my blogger liberty and changing this Meme up a bit. Our yard is small, but we have worked very hard to make it special. Still lots we want to do to it, but it is getting there. And it is all about the journey right? :o)

Now who to tag? I tag anyone who wishes to play. If you do play, please send me the link and I will post it.
Everyone have a great day. And if you are bored, come on over and help me pull up some weeds! :o)

Little stuff. I have been working on lots of little projects. Here are some goodies I have been working up for Farmer's Market. Tissue holders (24), 3-inch paper pieced key fobs (12) and tea bag cozies (14). Michelle made us all a cozy for Mother's Day and I thought it was very sweet and clever. So I copied it. Thanks Michelle! LOL I made all these projects from my odd scrap bag.

This isnt a very good photograph at all. I am teaching a workshop at a wool show in September. My class is a wool applique journal and key fob. The background wool is black. I know it is hard to tell in the pic. The base is a composition notebook. I love to work with wool. It sews so easy.

On the way to the doctor this week, my car broke down on teh highway. The transmission is out of it. sigh With it having over 170,000 miles, I imagine it will be junked now. I loved my old car. Drove so good and would just plow through snow. And we had new tires on it.
We are having a family get together for Father's Day. Looking forward to that. Should have new baby Jaidyn pictures to share too. She had her 6 month birthday yesterday on what would have been our grandmother's birthday. Mamaw loved babies, so that was a sweet thing.
Our prayers go out to all those who have suffered from the horrible storms.
