Garden goodies

I was blessed with 5 gallons of tomatoes and a bag of other veggies. YUM! I ended up with 20, 3 cup freezer bags. My process is so simple. I soak and wash the tomatoes, core and spot cut, then rough chop. I add them all into a bowl. When my bowl is full, I use my 1 cup dry measuring cup and bag them up. I burp the bags as tight as I can. The last bowl of tomatoes had 4 chopped green bell peppers added to it. If I had had any onions on hand, I would have added them. These are great for soups and chili. See my glass of Mt Dew? LOL Kept me going. Sorry my pics are so bad, the kitchen lighting is harsh and I was hurrying. The photos were an afterthought, I was chopping away and then thought BLOG! LOLOL

My lovely gifties!

My dear friend Imi No-Blog, from the Netherlands, sent me this amazing knitted shawl. I was speechless thinking of the hours it took to create it. She said it was a soft merino wool/mohair blend. I cannot wait til cool weather to wear it to church and for special. Thank you soooo much Imi No-Blog. (I am teasing at her to start a blog!) Imi is my own personal sock maker too! :o) We do this in trade. My shawl is being displayed on ANOTHER gift. Miss Lily was gifted to me by Miss Linda. She is very old, Miss Lily NOT Miss Linda. I have her in the corner right beside my computer desk. And am thoroughly enjoying her. I received her and then the loverrrly shawl. What a perfect combo.

And then I was blessed to win this sweet give-a-way from Michelle in NZ. The lil' sachet is filled with buttons and baubles to use in my crafting. The bookmark is made from selvages. How clever it is. Her embroidery is gorgeous. Thank you Michelle. I told her I would host a give-a-way in the near future. I always do if I win one.

A bit of a praise report. My sweet sister Penny had hand surgery recently. Yesterday she got her stitches out and was told she was ahead on her recovery. So yayaya for that. She has not been able to do handwork for several months and it has been KILLING her! So soon Penny, soon!

Which came first, the liver or the gizard?

Hey does anyone take Ursodiol or Ciclosporin for primary biliary cirrhosis? I am NOT having fun with these medicines. Just wondering if this is the norm. Not getting alot of feedback from the doctors. I realize the options of medicines for me is limited to some extent. My regular pharmacist is on vacay and I miss him. He answers so many more of my questions than any of my doctors.

Anyways. TattingChic is excited to win her prize. Hahaha hope she will be AS happy when she receives it! :o)

Here is a funny on me. I had Toby out to go potty. The older neighbor gentleman speaks hello as he is putting up his lawn mower. I say hello. Toby is still thinking about going to potty. So I am just standing there. Small talk is needed. I ask him if he thinks it is going to rain. AND I stand before God when I say this, the word RAIN was just out of my mouth when it started POURING!!!!! Like buckets from heaven!!! The sun is shining brightly. Toby hates rain, he makes his potty and we are off running to the house. The neighbor is laughing his head off calling, yes sissy I think it is going to rain! It was hilarious. :o) But I still hope to not see him again for a few days. LOLOL

Adding this one in after I posted. Just went down the hall in the dark and something ran across my foot. I am screaming...mousemouseMOUSE! And then the mouse meowed at me. LOL I had forgotten about Timmy. My heart is still racing. And prob his is too! In my defense, I am terrified of mice and it is 3am. That is my story and I am sticking to it. But I cannot wait until he gets a bit bigger. Timmy is getting a collar with a jinglebell on it! And maybe reflective tape. I am just saying.

And the winner is.....

TattingChic! Please send your mailing address to raggedyangela@yahoo.com and I will get your toile apron right out to you! Thank you everyone else for playing along.

Sweet Baby Timmy. Don't you wish they could stay this stink'in tiny forever? He is really lovey and wants to snuggle all the time. Not a single potty mess has been made either. So yaya for THAT! He is a crybaby though. Misses the big brood he came from. But he also talks when he plays. So maybe he is just a chatterbox. LOL
