This is pretty yummy. Daddy brought me a bag of his pears on Sunday. These are from very old, huge trees on their farm. And he lets them hit the ground. So a bit of bruising, means alot of cutting away. But so worth it. I boiled 4 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar. Then turned it to medium and dropped in the sliced pears as I cut them up. I cooked them about 10 minutes after the final ones were in. Then removed from heat and let cool. Since it was pretty late, I put the kettle in the frig til this afternoon. I put all the pear slices into the blender with a ladle of the water. Probably could have omitted the water, but wanted the extra sweetness. Pulsed the blender until it was the consistency I liked. Sprinkled the cinnamon on top of the serving bowl. taaadaaaa Looks just like apple sauce. No preservatives or pesticides.
I am having an impossible time getting into some blogs. Have no idea what is going on! I can get into the page, and then it all freezes up on me. Not everyone's, but have never had this happen before. I have ran extra virus scans and whatnots. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
It has been rainy here. And goes right along with me not being an Autumn person. No hating please! I know some just simply love this time of the year. I never have as long as I can remember. I start getting depressed and melancholy. And the change in the weather makes me ache more. But mostly it just depresses me. I love to see the colors of the tree. Nothing prettier. But hate those ole blahhhhs that come with it. Just sharing. :o)

I have not idea what causes the problems you are having, but I have had similar in the past with people who use typepad.
I too love the beautiful fall colors, but not all that crazy about this time of year as I know is it ushering in winter.
Your pear "sauce" looks truly yummy!!! Good luck with figuring out the computer problem you are having. (I don't like fall, either...because it means winter is nearly here...YUCK)
Yumm, the pear sauce looks so good. Don't feel funny about not liking fall...I'm worse, I don't like spring. The weather is too fickle in spring - one day warm, next day it can snow. Just irritates me. Isn't it good that we can have different preferences yet be best of friends? :)
Hope you feel well and the fall weather doesn't make you ache this year. XOXOXO
I just read someone's blog who was having blog reading woes too. She solved it by switching to Mozilla Firefox and using it instead of Internet Explorer. Maybe that would help?
I LOVE pear sauce!! Yum yum!!
Oooh, that sounds good! Yum!
