Autoimmune Hepatitis. Does anyone have this or know someone who does? I have recently (Monday) been diagnosed with this and had never heard of it before. Since I already have lupus and sarcoid, it is all under the autoimmune disease umbrella. Just doing alot of reading right now while waiting for more tests to be scheduled. Thanks for any info anyone has.
And thanks for all the sweet emails about my booth. That show wasn't the best. We were totally shocked by all the cheaply priced, import stuff. It was massive! And in the current economy, cheap rocks over quality hand-did sometimes. sigh
My baby boy Toby is going in for his lil boy surgery tomorrow. I hate they have to keep him overnight! He will be sad and lonely for home. It will be soooo quiet without him here, but I will use the time to sleeeeeeeeeeeep and not go on his potty runs hopefully. :o)

I don't know anything about the hepatitis but will be praying for you. That's too bad about the folkart show. I know you were disappointed. My husband and I used to do handmade items for sell - he does beautiful woodworking and I did alittle bit of a bunch of different things, but we never made much on all our efforts. You are so right about people wanting cheap over quality.
So we just gave it up. Its was fun for awhile and we got to know a lot of nice vendors.

So sorry that you have been dx'd with this disease. I hope that the treatment for it keeps you feeling well and that you are able to continue doing the things that you enjoy doing. I don't know about this disease either. You have been through so much and I hate it that now you have faced with dealing with this on top of everything else. God bless you and keep you. You are such a sweetie.

found this post in a google search. I also have AIH and know how hard it can be when first diagnosed. So I invite you to come join the largest AIH forum around ... hundreds of people with this bizarre immune disease. Very knowledgeable people who've had this for years and decades.

you are not alone! :)

Hey Angela, sorry to hear about that. I found your post through google alerts I have set for "autoimmune hepatitis", because I too was diagnosed 6 months ago with it and I've been on medication since. Meanwhile,I have a friend who has access to medical journals and he found an informative paper (in pdf format) for me, so if you want I can forward it to your email. Anyway, my doctor tells me that with proper medication and frequent exams, I have nothing to worry about, so I hope you don't worry too much either.

My good friend's daughter, age 40, was diagnosed with this in September and was so sick that she was put on a transplant list right away. She got the transplant and has had a spectacular recovery, losing all kinds of weight (her body had been storing fluid for YEARS), and now looks like a million dollars. She's on a lot of medication, but feels good. She's throwing a benefit next month for the transplant clinic. It was a long, hard road for her, those months, but she's come out of it shining. Wishing you the very best, my friend.
