Lots of work, but so worth it. Now I remember why I haven't made it in over 20 years! These are tame blackberries my mom picks for me from their backyard. It takes alot of berries to make the 4 cups of juice needed. I use SureJell Certo as the fruit pectin. All eleven pints "pinged". I was so worried! Now I plan on making apple and grape from organic juice. No using a sieve for those! Cuts the work in half. If I can get some hot peppers from my cousin I want to make pepper jelly. This is so good to pour over a block of softened cream cheese and eat with crackers. I haven't made it before, but it looks easy enough. I have had the store bought kind. Homemade has to be better right? :o)

Yum! We had wild blackberries all over the last base we lived. I made quite a few batches of jam. Delicious!
your blackberry jelly looks so good!! I bet it would be fabulous on pancakes or waffles too! I'm munching away on tomatoes here too, it's that time of year!!
