Choices

Last week my primary care doc informed me in a "very strong" manner, I was stubborn. And he said some other stuff about not paying attention to him or my body, overdoing things and basically yelled at me. My reply was to tell him to stop yelling at me cause he was about to make me cry. Then yesterday I received a telephone call from the neuro-ophthalmologist. They thanked me for my patience at an appointment I had on Monday. Used the words gracious, patient and considerate. I choose these words. Maybe both doctor's spoke the truth about the specific situation. But I am going with the positive and pshhhhhing the negative. Just saying. :o)

hope the doc didn't make you cry honey!! Sometimes stubborn is a good thing, sometimes not so good :) Patience is always good...so hang in there and don't worry so much 'bout that small stuff like how some folks might perceive you! It's how you see yourself that counts :) Prayin' for ya!

I think sometimes doctors get frustrated when we won't do something they really think is necessary for us. Mine is annoyed with me right now, too. Oh, well.....when he gets upset if I refuse a test or med, I tell him to calm down and say I appreciate his concern and IF it would make him feel better, I'll sign a paper saying he recommended this particular test or med and I refused. Usually he'll back off then!

Well, yes, as Robin said stubborn can be good and bad. And hey, it's possible to be stubborn and overdo and ignore the bod's signals and still be patient and considerate and kind and gracious. Yep, we humans be a funny mix of stuff. Sometimes it's good; sometimes not so much --and sometimes neither, it's just the way it is. Sometimes it can be a bit of denial stirred into the mix. You know who you are regardless of what a frustrated, overworked physician may be saying. I think they stopped teaching the med students proper bedside manners a good many years ago. All of this aside, I'm praying for you and trusting the Lord to take good care of you.

When one person pays another person, that makes the first one the employer and the second one the employee.
The doc needs to be reminded.
I'm just saying.

I've changed more doctors than my age number is high. They mistreat me in any way, bye bye. It's my body my future. You hang in there. Hugs. Tazzy

Stubborn=determined. The doctor just needs to choose his words more carefully!

Is the surgery date determined yet? Not being nosey...just concerned!

(I choose my words very carefully!)

I would say, "Beautiful, kind, sweet, and loving," but that's just me...
