I am very excited. I have wanted to learn how to tat for a long time. Years actually. The Old Jail Art Center (photo in previous post), is offering a series of classes that start tonight. And my hands are working. That had been my fear. The lupus keeps moving about and I was afraid the day of the class it would be in my hands. Nope, it is in my feet. Hey as long as I can stumble along, I will be okay. I signed up last month, or maybe in November. The family gave me monies for my birthday to pay for the class too. Gotta love family that loves handmade! So this has made me smile today. Will see what I learn and share tomorrow or tonight when I get home.
The sun is shining here also. That always makes me smile!! I have to go pay a bill and go to the post office. Come one feeties....
So I hope you have something to make you smile today, even if it is just because you woke up to sunshine. Sometimes that is just enough.

Have fun at your class, Angela! My great-grandma tatted beautifully! I wish I had some of her work!
My Grandma was a wonderful tatter! I have a few pieces of hers that I cherish! I learned to tat years ago, but cannot tell you how to do it today. LOL!!! I need your new class, too!!
I have wanted to learn to tat as well. I went online and tried to follow the youtube videos or somewhere they had tatting online, i could not look at it backwards and do it. Love tatting..
I tat and it is fun!! You will have fun, can't wait to hear about your class. I am a self taught tatter.
Is Stephen teaching this class? Looking forward to another tatter in Indiana!
My nana was a tatter, too! Unfortunately, she passed on before she could teach me, but she did teach me how to cross-stitch. I tried to teach myself how (that's how I learned crochet and knitting). No luck, maybe someday I'll take a class! Hang in there kiddo-do what you can and keep smiling :0)
There are tatting demos on my web site that have taught a lot of people to tat. If you begin with chains and 2 colours of thick thread, you'll learn much faster.

You are one busy girl.
I just ordered your very pretty box and a picture. Very excited here. But I WILL CALM DOWN SOON.
I have learned so much from all the gret women in blog land. I made a big batch of laundry soap this week and just love it.
Tatting I haven't tried but I do a lot of embroidery. And spend a lot of time at the thrift store. What are people thinking giving up the good stuff I find. Well thats OK.
Enjoyed your site.
