September Photos

 September is all about birthdays for us. My girl is now 24. Heather, how did this happen? Our Baby Shayla (niece) is now 8. And not quite a baby anymore. Cannot believe how fast the years have gone.

They shared a party this year. We never do themes, but this year I did an Alice in Wonderland tea party. Heather loves her some AiW!! I had the dining table set up with roses and cupcakes, cookies, cake, and other goodies. We had turkey and ham sandwiches on party buns with a bit more "real" food. The small photo is a treasure to me. It is of my girls when Heather was 16 and Shayla was 3 months. We had so much fun that day. Did you notice the googly eyes on the roses? hahaha You have to have googly eyes on your flowers for anything with Alice you know. It was a good day.

Then daddy had his birthday next. He and Jaidy were playing around. Daddy was getting ready to blow out his candles. He had a willing helper. A good pic of both their happy faces.

Jaidyn loves my wormies. Glad she is not too girly to get her hands dirty. She would carry one or two around and then trade them for others. Lots of worming loving and then hand washing.

This Little Miss LOVES my poor Timmy cat. They have a love/hate relationship. By looking at the pics, can you guess who does what? :o))) That is a very tight death grip hug she is giving him.

Come see us at the market!

Penny and I set up each Saturday (with Mark's assistance) at the semi-local farmer's market. It is the best! It is in Orleans, Indiana. I am totally serious people, this is the best market. And well worth your drive if you live in southern Indiana. Tons of homegrown produce. Many of it organically tended with loving care. Yummy bake goods. Amish made baskets. Unique handcrafts. All in one place. The past few weeks, there have been over 70 vendors in attendance. And closer to 80 I think. As the season goes along, the numbers will increase also. It is a tiny little town with a sweet courtyard that we are allowed to use. Many nice shade trees and a playground for the kiddies. AND the music! The music happens in the Jammer's Tent. The local folks bring their instruments and voices and have a great time. All ages. Any acoustic instrument welcome. From guitars, mandolins, dulcimers, banjos, washboards, autoharps...you name it! The talent is amazing. Love the bluegrass and hymns that these blessed people bring to our ears. We are fortunate in that our tent is beside their area. The market is every Saturday from 8-noon. Come October, the hours change will be 9-noon.

Here is our Miss Jaidyn. Isn't she a doll? She went to a tutu party and had her photo taken. Aunt Angie loves this baby girl. Who is growing up toooo quickly!

 This is what an indoor eggie hunt looks like. More rain! And again today also :o( Blechityblechblech! We hid, if you can call it that, their goodies through the living room, the hall and the computer room. They had fun. But outdoors is so much nicer!

 We were watching The Wizard of Oz before and after. Good backrgound music for romping through my dinky little house!

I thought it was funny that the digital photo frame was on a pic of Toby, right beside a photo of him, when I snapped this. I didn't notice til I was downloading the pics.

Seventeen pictured and five more on the table. All sold as special orders. Love my cousin Kimmie Ann. She works at a hospital and has been packing a small suitcase around with my hats everywhere she goes. These are all 100% cotton except the cream one in the front, it is wool. I thank God I can work with my hands. Crocheting is something I can do without rattling moving my head about and I can just sit still and do it for hours. And I do. Sometimes I crochet 6-9 hours straight!

Catching up

Photos of some of my Farmer's Market wares. Wool felted bags and cozies. Wool pins. Only 2 Saturday's left of market. I am going to miss it greatly. The people are wonderful and the sales have been great. 

Then I had to share the newest pics of Miss Jaidyn. My great-niece will be 3 in December. Such a joy to our family.

Here is an update on my health for all those sweet ladies who have asked. I have just finished up 3 weeks of treatments, will be off 5 and then back on for 4. Another MRI and then we will see what is what. The surgery is on hold for the present. My September MRI showed the tumor had shrunk from treatments this summer down to what it was in December. Which was a God thing! If it will stay this size, the dr feels it is better to maintain it with periodic treatments rather than do surgery. With my other health issues, it would be safer and easier on my overall health. I am having problems with my blood so have been having transfusions to help that. Right now I am trying to rest a lot. That is a huge thing. 

The cooler, no humidity weather is making me happy. Feeling more crafty than I have in months. Have been doing some needle felting. AND Penny and I have signed up to vendor at two wool fiber shows in spring 2011. Yaya us. Gotta keep making our little girl plans. I will be hostessing a quilt retreat next month. Very excited about that. I rest a lot at these and it is such good energy there. Love being with my friends.

Crocheting and Chickens and Surgery...oh MY!

More baby hats. Lots more. They have been selling well for me at Farmer's Market. I have several listed now in my Etsy store also.

Miss Jaidy loves the chickies! She wanted to catch them all and gives them lots of pets. Her expressions were so cute. And then Penny is THE chicken whisper.

And now the not so fun part of the post. I see the neurosurgeon on Wednesday in Indy. It is a pre-surgery consult, so should know the date of my surgery that day. This has been a long time coming. I have had this brain tumor or more than one, for about 10 years. Technology is now allowing the removal. I just want it. Over. With. Now to get my lungs to play pretty with everything and we should be a go. I still have pleurisy (and one cracked rib) and they want that to be healed before surgery. I would appreciate your prayers in all this. As always, God is why I am still fighting a good fight and not pushing up daisies.

Monday photos to make us smile

My mini daffodils at the door. They are the first bright lights of spring for me.

If you play hard, then you gotta take alot of rests. These two are hilarious together when they are not horrible together. :o) Timmy truly thinks he is a puppy. He is sitting up and begging for his good boy treats now. Besides chewing on rawhide bonies with Toby.

Happy thoughts and prayers are appreciated. I start a 4 week round (hopefully) of treatments tomorrow. Get'r done is the motto of the week!

Eggie Hunts rock!

I honestly do not know WHAT was happening with Baby Shayla's hair here in her face! Love that killer smile of her's. There was so much loot for her to find, I had to upgrade her from a basket to my new yarn bag. We divided the yard up and placed the goodies on each side for the girls. Ivan rehid half Shayla's eggs for her once. Some so hard I couldn't find them!

Both girls got cutie bugs. They were laying in the bushes.

This baby is the cutest. Love those leggings on her too! Twirly dresses are the best.

And this says it all. Except Baby Jaidyn was the only one asleep! LOL Toby (Who has on his soft muzzle to keep him calm and not jumping all over the kidlets. It is so loose, comes off without unsnapping it. It is just hanging on him basically by his ears.) and lil Shayla were playing opossum for a photo. :o) Being Aunt Angie is the best thing. Love'em, spoil'em, tucker them out and send then on their merry way. Is this grammy training??

We are getting ready for a wedding!

Flower girls? Check!

Baby Shayla, our now so much a baby, is all set. But is thinking she prefers to be the "wedding girl" (bride) to the "basket girl" (flower girl). Hmmmm...I do not Heather will be stepping aside. Sorry Shayla! LOL

Poor baby Jaidyn has a rash, reaction to a baby shot. She is covered head to toe. Looks like a lil cherub in her dress though.

These are just quick snaps at the house. Trying the dresses at the last minute for fit. Thankfully, only Shayla's needs hemmed and cut off. I think there is 5 layers to the skirt! We are at 11 days and counting~!!!

The smile of a child

My sister Debbie is so good to me. They took the baby to the local pizza/playland for the first time last week and invited me along. It was a whole bunch of firsts. Jaidyn's first ride on the merry-go-round. Riding the little cars. She was in love with the Bozo figurine. Wasted her precious kisses on him! Won a few tickets to redeem for balls and candy. Just watching her made me feel better. Who can be sad or sickie with that smile to see? Precious she is. Children are such a gift from God.

And I saw my first robin red breast today. He was taking a bath in a mud puddle nekked as a jaybird he was! LOL Sorry, my feable attempt at humor. LOL

Good til the last drop. Or not.

I made Heather this sweet scarf and fingerless glove set. The yarn was super soft with a halo to it. And pink! So am thinking she will like it. Had a bit left over from the last skein.

Thought I would use it up to make Baby Jaidyn a lil cloche style hat. Used every inch I had. Not a smidgen left. The idea was to save it for next winter. Cause it just looked toooo big for her now. Even looked big on the pineapple. LOL Penny and I went over today for a bit to watch her. And I thought, oh just take the hat now. They can fold up the brim.

Hahahaha Not so much folding up and as pulling down. It is way too small for her. Her poor lil ears. Where was my mind?? That is sooo sad looking. We just kept laughing. I left it for her Teddy Bear. It fit it just fine. Guess I should have taken a pic of that. LOL But seriously, I thought it would be too big. I have just forgotten how much she is growing. Love that happy smile. And this is after she had just vomited up her lunch. EWWWIE! Left Penny with THAT clean up. It was bad!! I got the fun job of giving her a bath in the tub. She loves the water. And has such a sunny personality. It sounded like she said Angie a couple of times today after a bit of prompting. Okay, me chanting.....Angie, Angie, Angie...Probably said it so I would hush up. :o)
Here is the latest set of felted bags I made. The mini is just under 3-inches. I am so in love with these buttons. I need to see if they have gotten any more in. I know I will be sad when I run out and then cannot find more.We have 60 degree temps here. The snow and ice is gone. And the mud has taken it's place. Not so pretty. Poor lil' Mr. Toby is missing his snow! He tried to find even a tiny bit of ice this morning. We need a slight rain to clean everything off. The cars are filthy and the roads and drives worse. BUT the sunshine rocks! I have 2 windows up for a bit of cross breeze to freshen the house. Even turned the ceiling fan on low to stir it up. Let our germs out and the neighbors in. LOL It is probably a crap shoot over who's is worse.
